* Popular Gambling Systems
There are lots of systems to use to try and make a profit. Listed are three of the most popular systems used for roulette. I have only briefly outlined them as they have their place in your gambling repertoire, but do not use these exclusively as the be all and end all of systems. A Roulette ball will land randomly on the numbers available. The law of averages mean no one is able to predict the next number.
THE MARTINGALE SYSTEM
Rules
- You must always follow the system, do not vary from the rules.
- Do not stay at the table too long, if they discover you are using this system they may disqualify you from entering the casino again.
- Keep within your budget.
- Follow the system’s betting sequence (the amount you are supposed to bet per round).
- The Martingale System uses outside bets: Red:Black outside bets. These bets have a payout of 1:1. This means, if you place a $1 bet on “red” and the ball lands on a red number you get your $1 back, plus another $1 – the win.
- The Martingale System involves betting on one colour, To start you only need to pick which colour you want to start with – red or black.
Betting
- Start by betting a $1 on black.
- If the ball lands on any black number you win $1. Collect your winnings and start again by betting another $1 on black.
- If the ball does not land on black you lose your $1 - on the next spin you double your bet to $2 on black. If the next spin lands on black you will win $2. This covers your original lost $1 plus a $1 profit. Restart at $1 on black.
- If the ball lands on consecutive reds, continue to double your bet each spin until the ball lands on black again. (e.g. $1, $2, $4, $8 etc)
- By simply doubling your bet each time, you are guaranteeing that the next time the ball lands on black you will win enough to cover all the previous losing bets, plus a $1 profit.
THE PAROLI SYSTEM
The Paroli system can be used for roulette or craps, because both have outside bets (red/black bets in roulette, and the pass line bet in craps). Then you will need to decide on your starting bet, and how long you will let your wins ride.
The most commonly recommended bet is to start with $5 bets, and allow your money to ride for three total wins.
1-3-2-6 SYSTEM
The name of this system says it all. It is similar to the Paroli system. It is based on the theory that you can win four times in a row.
Your initial bet is 1 unit, the second is 3 units, the third is 2 units and the fourth is 6 units. If each unit is $10 and the odds are 1:1 + even money.
The original bet is $10. When winning, then you start the system with $10 added to the $20 on the table making the second bet $30. When winning again on the second bet, there would be $60 on the table. Of this you take $40 off the table and the third bet is now $20. If the third bet wins, you will have $40 on the table to which you add $20 making a total of $60 for the fourth bet.
If the fourth bet wins, there would be a total of $120 on the table. Now you start the system all over again at $10. When you lose at any stage of the system, you start all over again at $10.
If you lose the first bet, your loss is $10. The second level loss is $20 (because you added another $10). At the third level, a loss will give you a net profit of $20 (because you have taken off $40). At the fourth level, a loss leaves you breaking even (because you put back $20 out of the $40 taken off the table).
The attraction of this system is that you risk $20 at a chance of making $120 net profit. This means you can lose six times at the worst level (second bet), and with one win (a set of four wins in a row) get your money back.
